Tulip Festival

Last week was spring break, so we took some field trips. We went to the Living Planet Aquarium, and the Thanksgiving Point tulip festival. The tulips were not quite ready, which was a little disappointing. However, the weather was beautiful, and the kids loved it (so did I.) We also did some kite flying. We live at the mouth of grove creek canyon, and at the mouth is a mostly empty retention basin. It is the perfect place for the wind to catch the kites and really make them fly.
Not quite sure what emotion is being displayed here, but I love this face!

(they were hoping to see Grandma and Grandpa here)
Taking a break and eating snickerdoodles the size of our faces...my favorite kind.
